88 Deputy Brendan Griffin asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine if a person (details supplied) in County Kerry will be permitted to switch from cattle to sheep and retain their REP scheme entitlements; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [39255/11]
Amharc ar fhreagraThe person named commenced REPS 4 in January 2010 and received payments for the first year of the contract. REPS 4 is a measure under the current 2007-13 Rural Development Programme and accordingly is subject to EU Regulations which require detailed administrative checks on all applications to be completed before any payments can issue. The administration checks in respect of 2011 payments have been finalised and during these checks a discrepancy was identified which required the submission of an amended plan. The amended plan was received on 5 December 2011 and my Department will now process the file with a view to an early resolution and payment in respect of 2011.
