516 Deputy Robert Dowds asked the Minister for Justice and Equality the position regarding the progress that has been made with the report on the Magdalene laundries; and when it is likely to be published. [7944/12]
Amharc ar fhreagraThe Inter-Departmental Committee, under the independent chairmanship of Senator Martin McAleese, submitted an interim progress report last October which was considered by Cabinet and published on my Department's website www.justice.ie. The Committee, which is receiving the full co-operation of Government Departments, the religious orders, and representative groups of women who were formerly resident in the Laundries, indicated their intention to conclude their work by mid 2012.
