216 Deputy Billy Timmins asked the Minister for Justice and Equality the position regarding the outcome of the coroner’s inquest into the death of a person (details supplied) in County Carlow; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [8552/12]
Amharc ar fhreagraI wish to inform the Deputy that while neither I nor my Department has any role in individual cases, I understand that this case was within the jurisdiction of the Coroner for West Wicklow. I am advised that following receipt of the post-mortem report, the Coroner decided that an inquest was not necessary and a Coroner's Certificate was issued to the County Registrar in October 2011.
