745 Deputy Martin Ferris asked the Minister for Health in view of the geographic location of Listowel town at the centre of a network of rural towns and villages with a population of over 25,000 people, the rationale for closing so many beds in Listowel Community Hospital, County Kerry; and where his Department proposes that the obvious patient over-demand will be offered alternative beds.
