649 Deputy Aodhán Ó Ríordáin asked the Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport if he will provide an update on the ongoing discussions in Aer Lingus regarding pensions plans; the problems this pension scheme faces with regard to its deficit; and if he will make a statement on the matter. I have no function in relation to the Aer Lingus pension schemes and therefore have no role in the ongoing discussions between the relevant parties and the Labour Relations Commission. This is a matter for the Trustees of the scheme, the members and the companies involved to address.
