414 Deputy Dara Calleary asked the Minister for Justice and Equality if he will outline the Garda policy of charging for availability and for service at public events that is concerts, parades and so on; the charges involved; if there are any waivers for community based events; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The Garda Commissioner is the Accounting Officer for the Garda Vote. In that context I have sought information from the Garda authorities in relation to the matters raised in this Question and I will respond to the Deputy when I receive the relevant material.
