Michael McCarthy
Ceist:1370 Deputy Michael McCarthy asked the Minister for Health in view of the recent publication of the national review on autism services, the extent to which he is considering the development of an autism-specific national strategy similar to those which are already in place in Northern Ireland, England, Scotland and Wales; if such a strategy will have an interdepartmental approach that will ensure children and adults with autism live fulfilling lives economically, culturally and socially; if there are any plans to draft autism legislation similar to the Autism Act (Northern Ireland) 2011 in view of the increasing prevalence of autism in the State; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
