570 Deputy Michael Healy-Rae asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine with regard to the farm contractors in Ireland Limited, if the FCI advocates that VAT-registered contractors be preferred for all farm work and all Department agri-funded schemes; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Under the on-farm investment schemes funded by my Department all works must be completed in full compliance with the Department specifications. The choice of contractor is a matter for the applicant.
