45 Deputy Patrick O’Donovan asked the Minister for Education and Skills if he will review an application for training allowance in respect of a person (details supplied) in County Limerick; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [22279/12]
Amharc ar fhreagraI understand that the person in question commenced a FÁS Contracted Beauty Therapy Course on 5th March, 2012. However, FÁS learners are paid training allowances only on foot of evidence on the F103 form from the Department of Social Protection (DSP) confirming eligibility. I am informed that the F103 form submitted to FÁS by the Department of Social Protection in respect of the person in question declares that she is not in receipt of a payment. Therefore, FÁS is not in a position to pay an allowance. She is, however, in receipt of an accommodation and meal allowance. The person in question would need to get in contact with her local DSP Office to progress matters further.
