77 Deputy Peter Mathews asked the Minister for Social Protection when a decision on carer’s allowance will be made in respect of a person (details supplied) in Dublin 24; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [22229/12]
Amharc ar fhreagraI confirm that the department is in receipt of an application for carer's allowance from the person in question. She was advised that her application does not meet the medical criteria for receipt of carer's allowance based on the medical evidence submitted at time of application. However, additional medical evidence was subsequently received and forwarded to the medical assessor for further consideration. On completion of the necessary investigations relating to all aspects of her case a decision will be made and the person concerned will be notified directly of the outcome.
