207 Deputy Jim Daly asked the Minister for Education and Skills the number of applications that were made by maths and physics graduates to the postgraduate applications centre to complete a professional diploma in education; the number that were selected for the course; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The Postgraduate Applications Centre is a private company which acts as an agent of the four National Universities of Ireland to process and assess applications to the PDE courses in those institutions.
