131 Deputy Michael McGrath asked the Taoiseach if any evidence has come to his attention to indicate that documentation in relation to the decision on 29 September 2008 to provide a State guarantee to domestic banks was destroyed or otherwise removed from his or any other Department; and if he will make a statement on the matter. I assume the Deputy's question arises from my remarks in the House on 12 June. I did not intend to suggest that I have evidence that documentation was destroyed or otherwise removed. My remarks were intended to highlight what I regard as a remarkably small volume of documentation held in my Department from that night.
