162 Deputy Brian Stanley asked the Minister for the Environment, Community and Local Government the Departments that will be represented on the High Level Inter-Departmental Group for Sustainable Development; and the persons who will attend these meetings. [31333/12]
Amharc ar fhreagraI will chair the High-Level Inter-Departmental Group on Sustainable Development (HLGSD) which will coordinate and drive overall implementation of Our Sustainable Future — A Framework for Sustainable Development for Ireland. The HLGSD will report on progress to the Cabinet Committee on Climate Change and the Green Economy, chaired by the Taoiseach. My Department has written to the Secretaries General of the following Government Departments inviting them to nominate representatives, at Assistant Secretary level, to the HLGSD. As the closing date for receipt of nominations is 6 July 2012, a full list of representatives is not yet available but will be forwarded to the Deputy as soon as possible after that date.
