Robert Dowds
Ceist:76 Deputy Robert Dowds asked the Minister for Education and Skills if he will consider permitting fifth year students to sit the leaving certificate ordinary level maths paper and allowing them to take the higher level paper in sixth year if they so wish, in order to encourage students concerned about the necessity of having at least a pass grade in maths for entry to third level courses to take the higher level paper without the worry that a failure in that exam will bar them from entry to third level courses.
