78 Deputy Ciarán Lynch asked the Minister for Education and Skills when a decision will be made regarding the appointment of a concessionary post to a school (details supplied) in County Cork; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [31313/12]
Amharc ar fhreagraThe school referred to by the Deputy submitted an appeal to the Primary Staffing Appeals Board which was considered by the board at its meeting on 14 June. All appeals submitted to the Primary Staffing Appeal Board were considered in accordance with the published appeals criteria set out in my Department's Staffing Circular 0007/2012 which is available on the website. The board sough further information in the case of this school. This information has now been provided and the school will be informed of the outcome of the appeal as soon as it is available.
The Appeals Board operates independently of the Department and its decision is final.
