Litter Pollution
189 Deputy Billy Timmins asked the Minister for the Environment, Community and Local Government his plans to amend the legislation on litter in order to assist businesses that wish to display further advertising for special events; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [32762/12]
Amharc ar fhreagraMy Department is currently reviewing existing waste and litter legislation. This review is focused on identifying potential changes to the legislation to drive further reductions in littering and illegal dumping. I have no plans to amend the legislation along the lines suggested in the question at this time.
