259 Deputy John McGuinness asked the Minister for Social Protection the position regarding an application for carer’s allowance in the case of a person (details supplied) in County Kilkenny; and if she will expedite a response. [33447/12]
Amharc ar fhreagraI confirm that the Department is in receipt of an application for carer's allowance from the person in question. In the interests of fairness and equity, applications are dealt with by the Department as far as possible in the order in which they are received. On completion of the necessary investigations relating to all aspects of the case, a decision will be made and the person concerned will be notified directly of the outcome.
