240. Deputy Sean Fleming asked the Minister for Finance the position regarding recruiting persons with a disability; the number of persons currently employed in his Department; the number of persons with a disability who have been employed since 1 January 2011 to date in 2012; and if he will make a statement on the matter. In 2011, the Department of Finance exceeded the statutory minimum target of 3% with regard to the employment of persons with a disability. Currently, 3.9% of staff in the Department of Finance has a disability.
