779. Deputy Billy Timmins asked the Minister for Social Protection the position regarding domiciliary care allowance in respect of a person (details supplied); and if she will make a statement on the matter. [38461/12]
Amharc ar fhreagraThe age limit for receipt of domiciliary care allowance (DCA) is 16 years. As the child in question is now over 16 years of age, DCA is no longer payable. However persons over the age of 16 years can apply for disability allowance in their own right.
