146. Deputy Micheál Martin asked the Tánaiste and Minister for Foreign Affairs and Trade if there is a plan to discuss the increased numbers of riots across Spain and Greece in particular as a result of financial cutbacks; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [42929/12]
Amharc ar fhreagraWhile I am not aware of any particular plans to discuss these events, along my with my fellow EU Foreign Minister colleagues, I am, of course, concerned by the incidents of unrest that have occurred in a number of European countries. Whatever the specific underlying reason in each case, such events have reinforced my determination, and that of my colleagues in Government, to continue to pursue vigorously the jobs and growth agenda in the European Union, including during our forthcoming Presidency of the EU.
