158. Deputy Pearse Doherty asked the Minister for Finance if he will quantify the number of ongoing legal cases, if any, where the State or an agency of the State is the applicant or one of the applicants and Ernst and Young is the respondent or one of the respondents [45967/12]
Amharc ar fhreagraThe Chief State Solicitor’s Office have confirmed that they are not acting for the State or any State agencies in any proceedings in respect of which Ernst and Young are a defendant or a respondent. It should be noted, however, that the Chief State Solicitor’s Office does not represent all state agencies and it is therefore possible that some state agencies could potentially have brought such an action through a private solicitor, but I am not aware of any such proceedings.
