Deputy Catherine Murphy asked the Minister for Education and Skills if he will outline the methodology by which the patronage model was decided for the new post primary school (details supplied); if this methodology will be repeated in other parts of the country in similar situations; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Amharc ar fhreagraAs the Deputy will be aware, in June 2011, I announced new arrangements for the recognition and determination of patronage of new primary and post-primary schools. The patronage of the post-primary school referred to by the Deputy was decided under these new arrangements and details of the decision making process in that case are available on my Department's website. It is my Department's intention to continue using these criteria to decide the patronage of new schools.
