Deputy Gerald Nash asked the Minister for Health if he will provide in tabular form for the years 2009 to 2012 and by region the number of clinically discharged patients who remained in acute hospital beds subsequent to their discharge; if he will provide any analysis on the reasons for remaining in hospital including the numbers awaiting home help and the number awaiting approval of fair deal schemes; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
