287. Arrangements are being made for scaffolding to be erected on the site at Mooghaun Fort to allow the specific trees that need to be felled to be identified so that the viewing platform can be installed. Contact has also been established with Coillte who will carry out the work on the trees and the Department of Arts Heritage and the Gaeltacht which needs to provide the necessary Archaeological consent required under National Monuments legislation. Once all the necessary arrangements have been made the Office of Public Works will arrange to have the viewing platform reconstructed so that the panoramic views of the site can be enjoyed once again by visitors.
