193. Deputy Timmy Dooley asked the Minister for Finance his views on the recent report from the Irish Hotels Federation and the proposal contained within the report for a limited form of tax relief to attract investment into the hotel industry; and if he will make a statement on the matter. I assume the Deputy is referring to the report by Dr. Alan Aherne for the Irish Hotels Federation. Officials in my Department are examining the proposals made in the report and will set out the issues for my consideration in due course.
