649. Deputy Éamon Ó Cuív asked the Minister for the Environment, Community and Local Government the amount of money spent in 2012 on the seniors alert scheme; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [1109/13]
Amharc ar fhreagraThe Seniors Alert Scheme (SAS) provides grant assistance towards the purchase and installation of equipment to enable older persons, without sufficient means, to continue to live securely in their homes with confidence, independence and peace of mind. The amount spent in 2012 on the SAS was €2,524,448.65.
