67. Deputy Pádraig Mac Lochlainn asked the Minister for Finance if he will provide a breakdown by county of the amount of land repossessed by financial institutions since 2009 and the law in relation to mineral rights on lands repossessed by financial institutions. [3469/13]
Amharc ar fhreagraThe Central Bank of Ireland has advised me that it does not collate statistics on the amount of land repossessed by financial institutions. The Central Bank publishes mortgage arrears and repossession statistics in respect of houses only. The latest figures for end Quarter 3 2012 are available on the Central Bank’s website. Policy and information in relation to mineral rights on lands repossessed is a matter for the Minister for Communications, Energy and Natural Resources.
