78. Deputy Róisín Shortall asked the Minister for Finance if he will provide a full breakdown of the tax liability in respect of a person (details supplied) in Dublin 9; the reason a recent small sum was deducted at source in this particular case and on what basis. [3357/13]
Amharc ar fhreagraI am informed by the Revenue Commissioners that the person in question has been in contact with his local Tax District and following clarification regarding his own and his spouse’s pensions from the Department of Social Protection, an amended tax credit certificate issued on 15 January 2013. The certificate outlines his tax credits and the reduction in respect of the pensions. Any tax over deducted since 1 January 2013 will be repaid by his pension provider.
