Ceisteanna (676)

Derek Nolan

Ceist:

676. Deputy Derek Nolan asked the Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport his views on whether the number of licences issued by the NTA for tourist day tours from Dublin to the West is excessive, in view of complaints by local businesses in the West that such trips do not result in a financial benefit to the local economy; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The licensing of bus services is a matter for the National Transport Authority (NTA) and I have forwarded the Deputy's question to the NTA for direct reply.  Please advise my private office if you do not receive a reply within ten working days.
