Deputy Michael McGrath asked the Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport if he will provide details of the amount of money spent by local authorities in 2011, 2012 and the expected spend in 2013 on the purchase of land to facilitate future road projects; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Amharc ar fhreagraAs the implementation of road schemes and the arrangements in relation to individual landowners is a matter for the local authority concerned in the case of regional and local roads, I do not have this information.
In relation to national roads as this is a matter for the NRA/local authority concerned, I have referred the question to the NRA for direct reply. Please advise my private office if you don't receive a reply within 10 working days.
