609. Deputy Bernard J. Durkan asked the Minister for Social Protection if an extension for a FÁS course will be granted in respect of a person (details supplied) in County Kildare; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [16684/13]
Amharc ar fhreagraThe maximum period of participation on community employment schemes for persons over fifty-five years of age is six years. The person concerned will have completed six years on a community employment scheme on the 24 May 2013 and it is therefore not possible to grant him an extension.
