Deputy Kevin Humphreys asked the Minister for Communications, Energy and Natural Resources the amount the Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland has invested or provided in grant aid to an ocean energy developer (details supplied); if he will also list other investments or grant aid provided by the SEAI to other ocean wave energy developers; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The amount the Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland has invested or provided in grant aid to ocean energy developers over the period 2005 to 2013 is set out in the table below. This comprises grants provided from the Renewable Energy Research, Development and Demonstration Fund (2005 – 2008) and its successor the Ocean Fund (2009 – 2013).
