371. Deputy Bernard J. Durkan asked the Minister for Social Protection if she will set out the entitlement to job seeker's benefit and or job seeker's allowance in the case of a person (details supplied) in County Kildare; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [18714/13]
Amharc ar fhreagraThe person concerned is currently in receipt of jobseeker's allowance of €97 per week. This is based on the maximum rate of €100 per week for a single person aged 18 to 21 years, less an assessment of €3 per week for benefit and privilege as he lives with his parents in the family home. The benefit and privilege assessment is based on the level of the parents’ income. The person concerned does not have an entitlement to jobseeker's benefit as he does not have a minimum of 104 contributions paid since entering insurable employment.
