453. Deputy Catherine Murphy asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine the amount of funding awarded under the disadvantaged area payments that was returned to the Exchequer in 2012; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [29141/13]
Amharc ar fhreagraPayments under the 2012 Disadvantaged Areas Scheme commenced, on target, on 26 September and, to date, payments worth in excess of €208 million have awarded to 95,449 farmers. Payments continue to issue twice weekly, as individual cases are confirmed eligible. No funding has been returned unspent to the Exchequer in respect of the 2012 Scheme.
