132. Deputy Tom Fleming asked the Minister for Finance if he will support the joint pre-budget submission by organisations (details supplied) that clearly show that cuts are affecting persons with an intellectual disability and-or autism in a multitude of ways; if he will ensure that all Departments start making persons with a disability a priority; and if he will make a statement on the matter. I can confirm that the Pre-Budget Submission to which the Deputy refers was received by my Department on 14 October 2013 and I would note that to date we have received in excess of 600 submissions in the context of Budget 2014. However the issues which the Deputy raises relate to expenditure policy and as such are primarily matters for some of my Ministerial colleagues rather than for me as Minister for Finance.
