207. Deputy Brendan Smith asked the Minister for Education and Skills the number of persons in counties Cavan and Monaghan participating in the vocational training opportunities scheme in the college years 2012-13 and 2013-14; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [44892/13]
Amharc ar fhreagraMy Department allocates 80 places on the Vocational Training Opportunities Scheme (VTOS) annually to Cavan and Monaghan Education and Training Board. A total of 80 learners participated on VTOS courses in those counties in the 2012/2013 academic year and there are 80 learners participating on VTOS courses in the current academic year, 2013/2014.
