167. Deputy Willie Penrose asked the Minister for Justice and Equality if he will take steps to expedite an application for a Garda clearance certificate application in respect of a person (details supplied) in County Westmeath which is required for their work with the Health Service Executive; and if he will make a statement on the matter. I am informed by the Garda authorities that no vetting application has been received in respect of the person to whom the Deputy refers. In the circumstances, I can only suggest that the person contacts the registered organisation involved.
