167. Deputy Eoghan Murphy asked the Minister for Health if he is considering, as part of the new plain packaging laws, excluding cigar and pipe tobaccos, as was the case with the display ban introduced for cigarettes. [52212/13]
Amharc ar fhreagraAs the Deputy will be aware, Government approval was received on 19th November 2013 for the publication of the General Scheme of a new Public Health (Standardised Packaging of Tobacco) Bill 2013 and to proceed with the drafting of the legislation based on this General Scheme. It is proposed that all tobacco products will have to comply with this legislation.
