490. Deputy Andrew Doyle asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine his views on the provisions, safeguards and measures currently in place regarding drag hunting here; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [54008/13]
Amharc ar fhreagraDrag hunting operates under guidelines laid down by the Hunting Association of Ireland. It is critical that these guidelines are observed at all times. In particular, it is essential that local residents in the vicinity of the drag hunt are informed in a timely manner.
