Deputy Mattie McGrath asked the Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport the exact involvement of a company (details supplied) in County Kildare in the roll-out of the new national driver licence service; the submissions the company made to the Department of Transport, Tourism and Sport; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Amharc ar fhreagraFollowing a competitive procurement process, the Road Safety Authority awarded a contract for the front-office, customer service element of the National Driver Licensing Service to SGS Ireland Ltd. Neither I nor my Department had any involvement in the tendering process.
