Deputy Jack Wall asked the Minister for Education and Skills the reason a child (details supplied) in County Kildare has been refused a special reader for their Leaving Certificate examination in view of the fact that they had such facilities for the Junior Certificate; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Amharc ar fhreagraThe State Examinations Commission has statutory responsibility for operational matters relating to the certificate examinations. The State Examinations Commission operates a scheme of Reasonable Accommodations in the Certificate examinations. Applications for such accommodations are submitted by schools on behalf of their students.
