590. Deputy Bernard J. Durkan asked the Minister for Justice and Equality the progress to date in the determination of an application for leave to remain in the case of a person (details supplied) in County Westmeath; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [4077/14]
Amharc ar fhreagraThe question of consideration of leave to remain does not arise at this time in the case of the person whose details were supplied. As the Deputy is aware, if the person concerned has made an application for asylum or subsidiary protection, the position is that it is not the practice to comment on such applications for so long as they are in the protection process.
