Ceisteanna (653)

Jonathan O'Brien

Ceist:

653. Deputy Jonathan O'Brien asked the Minister for Health if his attention has been drawn to the case of a child (details supplied) in Dublin 11 who was diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder two and a half years ago and has a disability, that they have been on an early intervention list for speech and language therapy but has not received any yet at Ashgrove House for over two years and that when they turn six years, they will not be eligible for this list; if he will personally intervene in this case to ensure that the child receives the therapy they are entitled to. As the particular issue raised by the Deputy relates to an individual case, this is a service matter for the Health Service Executive. Accordingly, I have arranged for the question to be referred to the HSE for direct reply to the Deputy.
