480. Deputy Bernard J. Durkan asked the Minister for Social Protection the progress to date in the determination of an appeal for carer's allowance in respect of a person (details supplied) in County Kildare; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [12893/14]
Amharc ar fhreagraCarer’s allowance was stopped on 26 February 2014 in respect of the person in question as, following a review, it was decided that the medical criteria were no longer satisfied. The person in question was notified of this decision on 20 of January 2014, the reason for it and of her right of review or appeal. To date, no request for a review of this decision has been received. There is no record of appeal registered with the social welfare appeals office.
