694. Deputy Terence Flanagan asked the Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport if his Department will take any action regarding Aer Lingus (details supplied); and if he will make a statement on the matter. [15979/14]
Amharc ar fhreagraAer Lingus is a publicly listed company. The remuneration package of the Chief Executive is decided by the remuneration committee and the Board of the company. It is not subject to Government decision. It would be inappropriate for my Department to seek to take action in this regard. However, the correspondent’s point regarding the contribution to pensions is well made.
