709. Deputy Patrick O'Donovan asked the Minister for Health if he will provide details on the mobility allowance and mobility transport allowance; the scheme that has been put in place since the removal of those allowances; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [22642/14]
Amharc ar fhreagraIn November 2013, the Government decided that the detailed preparatory work required for a new travel subsidy scheme and associated statutory provisions should be progressed by the Minister for Health. The Minister has included the Health (Transport Supports) Bill in the Government’s legislative programme. Work is ongoing at the present time on the policy proposals to be brought to Government.
