749. Deputy Clare Daly asked the Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport his plans to introduce own account operator licencing similar to that in place in Northern Ireland into the Irish road haulage sector. [25267/14]
Amharc ar fhreagraThe Road Safety Strategy 2013-2020 include a commitment to "Review policy on licensing of road transport operators to assess if own account operators should be included." The Secretary General of my Department is responsible for the delivery of this commitment and this review is due to be completed by quarter 3 of this year.
