261. Deputy Pat Deering asked the Minister for Education and Skills the criteria used for short listing candidates for teaching positions in ETBs; and if he will indicate if this a centralised system for all ETBs. [29491/14]
Amharc ar fhreagraThe position is that Education and Training Boards are statutory bodies with their own corporate status established under the Education and Training Boards Act 2013. The recruitment and appointment of teachers to fill teaching posts is a matter for the individual ETB subject to provisions set out in Section 24 of the Education Act 1998 (as amended).
