81. Deputy Niall Collins asked the Minister for Education and Skills if he has had further contact with the Dublin and Dún Laoghaire Education and Training Board following its decision, taken against the will of members, to close the St. Dominic's VTOS centre in Tallaght, Dublin 24 and transfer places to the north county; and if he will make a statement on the matter. I have had no contact with Dublin and Dun Laoghaire Education and Training Board on this matter. The decision is an executive function of the Chief Executive Officer of the ETB and it is not my role, as Minister, to intervene directly in the planning and delivery of services in an ETB.
