Durkan asked the Minister for Education and Skills the extent to which efforts continue to be made to create apprenticeship opportunities under various trades; the degree to which specific shortage have been identified; and if she will make a statement on the matter. Amharc ar fhreagraOn 30 June, my predecessor published an implementation plan for the recommendations of the recent Review of Apprenticeship Training in Ireland, which sets out how current apprenticeships will be renewed and how the apprenticeship model will be extended to new enterprise sectors. The Apprenticeship Implementation Plan is available on my Department's website.
